Welcome to “Two Zero Two Four, His Pour!”

Psalm 23 Emphasis Verse 5b, “He anoints my head with oil; my cup overflows.”

There is a song that says, “the anointing makes the difference in my life.” A true statement indeed. As we prepare for an awesome year of receiving “His Pour,” we understand we must position ourselves to receive what He is pouring. Have you ever driven to a vacant lot, and preceded to make a financial deposit as if you are depositing into a bank, or other financial institution? Unfortunately, there are several issues going on if you have, but we will address only one for the context of our annual website message. Your deposit into that parking lot will never be acknowledged because it has not been prepared to receive it as a deposit. You will never be able to utilize what you left there simply because it was not ready to receive what you were leaving behind.

God wants to deposit into us as yielded vessels. During our last 2023 meeting, I taught Lamentations 2:16-22 (read it when you can). Verse 19 was our key verse to help us prepare to receive “His Pour,” Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands toward Him for the life of thy young children, that faith for hunger in the top of every street.” As we labor to secure hope in our families and the manifestation of God’s power we must be prepared to receive.

Psalm 23 is quite a reminder of our ever providing Shepherd. In this passage, which we will cover throughout the year we find rest, retreat, restoration, guidance, comfort, revival, sustenance, security, protection, empowerment, peace, and promise. This passage is so loaded that you could actually feast in it over the next twelve months without moving outside of it. If you are looking to be grounded and rooted in who He is preparing to receive “His Pour,” you will not be disappointed in what the Lord has in store through this Word. I often share, that we learned this in Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, and Baptist Training Union (depending on your denominational foundation those Christian Education titles are different). We memorized it, but did we trust it? We learned it, but did we even understand the power of His presence that can lead us to a stay-cation? We want to and need to experience the beauty of this world, such as a fantasy vacation to one of Hawaii’s beautiful islands, or any other fabulous island. However, experiencing the natural scenery is nothing like experiencing Psalm 23 in the spriritual. Join us,  you will understand it better.
